Jesse A5735062 barked, growled lunged, muzzle punched, her body was tense, her eyes were focused, her pupils were dilated, her tail was tucked, and she flashed her teeth at the runner when he approached her kennel. The runner verbally corrected her, she slowly retrieved to the back of the kennel. The runner was able to gently toss the leash over her head. Once the leash was on her she exited the kennel on her own and she strongly pulled on leash. In the catch pen when she was introduced to the dogs, she was avoidant. She was wary to be collared and leashed. She entered the yard and began exploring. She kept to herself. Anytime the handler passed near her, she would flash her teeth and charge towards her (just a step or two towards her but never got close to making contact). She was uninterested in the dogs, and she sniffed her environmental surroundings. Overall, Jesse was tolerant of the dogs and does not have a playstyle at this time. She was wary of the handler, her body was tense, her eyes were alert, her tail was tucked, and her ears were slightly back. She curled her lips at the handler as she reached down to pet her. The handler used the leash to keep distance from her. She allowed the handler to pet her but she flinched a lot, her body was tense, her eyes were focused, her mouth was closed and her tail was tucked. She was extremely uncomfortable and nervous. Due to handling sensitivity Jesse will be rescue only.
