In the yard, he showed a relaxed body, soft eyes, and loose tail wag, politely greeting dogs. He was a bit uncomfortable at first but was easy to guide, explored the yard, and warmed up with time. 🐾 Raven prefers calm dogs, gives gentle corrections, and eventually joined in soft, dainty play. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out?or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.? Raven greeted the runner with a relaxed demeanor and was easy to leash/remove from the kennel. Raven was taken to the catch pen and was easy to collar/leash soliciting petting during the process. Raven greeted the dogs at the barrier nicely and was allowed into the play yard. Raven displayed a relaxed body, open mouth pant, natural ear set, relaxed tail wag, and soft eyes. Raven allowed the dogs to greet him, but he appeared uncomfortable. One of the dogs in the yard started to challenge Raven and was easy to steer. The dog returned and continued to challenge Raven and the other dog was shifted to the adjacent yard. Soon after Raven was approached by another dog and Raven overcorrected and was easy to steer. Raven took some time to acclimate and gave a good shake off. Raven explored the yard sniffing and marking various locations. He continued to socialize nicely maintaining a relaxed demeanor. He was given play bows and appeared tense and gave a correction. After some more time Raven appeared interested and joined the calmer dogs in play chase. He played appropriately for some time until he broke away from the group. Raven spent the remainder of the play session roaming/socialize/soliciting petting. Raven was able to co-exist preferring calm dogs and displayed a gentle/dainty play style. Raven displayed a relaxed body, open mouth pant, natural ear set, loose tail wag, and soft eyes. Raven approached the handler allowing them to pet him displayed a relaxed demeanor. The handler was able to examine Ravens ears, mouth, abdomen, back, lower extremities, and tail without issue. Raven maintained a relaxed demeanor throughout the assessment and continued to solicit petting afterward. Raven could benefit from confidence building and further socialization. Raven is ok for public adoption medium energy level calm dogs recommended.
